DOSE is the token of purchase, utility and action and is at the heart of the OliveX gamified fitness ecosystem. Players will receive DOSE tokens for completing workout based gameplay in Dustland Runner, Dustland Rider, and other experiences. These tokens can be used to unlock items, purchase NFTs and participate in special events and game modes.

Designed For Sustainability[]
The reward system is designed to be sustainable. Since DOSE has a fixed supply, the mechanism used allows the game to scale from 10,000 players to millions of players without breaking the economy due to token inflation.
Earning DOSE[]
DOSE tokens are rewarded in exchange for energy consumed during a run.
Since the DOSE token has a fixed supply, the amount of DOSE tokens you can earn by running varies according to the following factors:
- Daily Reward Pool
- Number of Players participating in activities in the same period
- Gear equipped by all runners that are playing
Generally speaking, the key to earning more tokens is:
- Consume all of your energy every day
- Level up your gear
- Unlock more exclusive Reward Pools (lower population = more to go around)
Daily Reward Pool[]
Every day, an amount of DOSE tokens is allocated to the Daily Reward Pool. This is the maximum number of tokens that can be earned by all players across all activities. The number of tokens allocated each day is variable and will depend on a few factors aimed at maintaining a healthy game.
Currently the reward pool is 1m tokens per month which is about 33k per day, evenly distributed per minute.
Activity Rewards Pool[]
The Daily Reward pool is split up into a number of Activity Reward Pools designed to reward players differently as they progress.
The table below shows how much of the Daily Reward Pool each Activity Reward Pool is worth.

Note: developers will occasionally need to adjust these reward pools to balance factors such as which activities players are playing, along with any new activities that are added.
Reward Distribution[]
Rewards are automatically distributed as you run. With each unit of Energy spent, the game will distribute a share of the Activity Reward pool to the player.
If players are out of energy, they can continue to run but no further DOSE rewards will be given.
NOTE: An internet connection is required to play the game.
Reward Calculation[]
Given that the reward system is designed to scale with the player base, the exact reward calculation depends upon the number of players participating. We have simplified the explanation of this calculation into the following factors:
Time[]
Time plays an important factor in reward distribution. The system divides up the reward pool evenly, so that any given time of the day has the same amount of rewards available as any other time of the day.
e.g. If an Activity Reward Pool is 24,000 Tokens, then every hour 1000 tokens are up for grabs, split across all players who run in that time window.
Gear[]
Players with better gear will receive a larger proportion of the rewards pool. This is designed to reward collection, upgrading and progression of gear in the gear system (coming soon)
Movement Speed[]
At the moment, movement speed doesn't affect how much DOSE is earned. All the game requires is that you are active and we have anti-cheat protections in place which we call "proof of workout".
We plan to change this in the future and scale rewards according to your movement speed. However, it is very important that users "buy in" to the level of the exercise that they wish to participate in.
Dustland and DOSE on Polygon[]
Dustland games are built on Polygon. The bridge for DOSE on Polygon has already been completed and we will be two liquidity pools:
- DOSE / ETH
- DOSE / Matic
Once crafting opens, you will be able to perform swaps from Polygon ETH or Matic to DOSE at the crafting website. You can also do the swap in advance so that you are all ready to go on the day. Remember to add DOSE on Polygon to the MetaMask wallet linked to your game account.
